A New Beginning

Every end signifies a new beginning, and with the end of a year, we have hope, with Christmas, a new beginning.  Even though Christmas it is of little significance to many unbelievers, we find that everyone, every nation, no matter believer or atheist alike try to make a fresh start, and they all make resolutions and amends for a better year, to live better lives, and this is the profound spiritual impact that Jesus has on the world.  Some may consider it co-incidence, others chance, but there are great many associations that signifies a deep and profound impact Jesus made to the world.  Jesus was born to us 2045 years ago, and his birth parts our timeline to define the ages, BC and AD.  Between BC and AD are 33 years when God walked with us in the flesh.  People who awaited his arrival searched palaces to find him, but he chose to be born in a humble manger and he choose to be born to poor but pure and holy parents.  We see later in his life, and in his ministry that even being God he was not spared from sarcasm, ridicule, insults, torture or for that matter unlawful death, at a time when there was an established law and order under one of the most prominent civilizations of all time, the Roman Empire.   We see that though he was a man of God, and did wonders, there was spiritual jealousy among his colleges, the apostles, and hatred from his superiors, the pharisees.  Jesus was able to perform miracles, far greater than any prophet before him, but only a few accepted him, and those who should have lifted him higher in fact worked against him and plotted to kill him.  Jesus washed the feet of his disciples so that they may know that the gift he gave to them, to heal, to cure and to bless was not to pull rank or authority over others, or establish a closed cult, as we see that the disciples were enraged to find others being able to perform the same miracles in his name, and wanted them to be stopped.  Jesus clearly tells them that whosoever is not against us is with us which is a clear message to all churches.  His objective was to be an instrument of peace, humility and charity and he wanted to lead them by example and so he washed and kissed the feet of his disciples to show his humility and love.  By his birth and  life, he was pure and just, he led the life of purity and faith, he taught others to be like-minded and so we are reminded of our love to God and service to others that we may be called children of God.  Let us in the true spirit of Christmas bless and share what we have with others, and lead by example that others may see and experience Jesus through us.

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.  Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:    Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross

Philippians 2:1-8

Christmas Cheers

Something wonderful happened about 2043 years ago which defined the way we live today. We have become bold, free, and masters of our own destiny.  We are free from violence, tyranny, oppression, and the similitude of sins that enveloped us and consumed our lives.  It is humblest moment in time that God made himself man, to pledge his own life for redemption of mankind.  It is this one great selfless act that defines God in which he was willing to sacrifice his own son for his creation that the redeemed may become his sons and heirs to his kingdom.  We are then no more slaves of a great master but the sons of an awesome God.  We were purchased, redeemed, elevated, and blessed to be on a higher ground and partakers of his kingdom.  Let us therefore celebrate this great time with the true spirit and cheer of Christmas !.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. John 3:16

Wishing Eveyone A Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year !!!
